All things chicken

I may be biased, but I can't buy chicken from the store now. The quality of the birds we raise is phenomenal. As we were studying at the beginning of our journey, we realized that there is a reason behind the taste. The extra nutrition we receive in pasture raised meats is undeniable. This section is for recipes though, so I'll leave this link for you to read if you would like to know more.

Soups

You can ask Mike, we have soups nearly every week, sometimes multiple times a week. I can't let a good carcass go without making it into broth.

The base of a good soup is a good broth. What I will give you in this recipe is the basics, as you learn your style, you will gain confidence and learn to experiment and tweak it. Just remember, no one is safe from a whoops. Just recently I added too many organs when trying to free up space in the freezer, the resulting taste wasn't my best, the dogs liked it though! ;) I learned and moved on.

Mexican twist on a chicken soup. We love Mexican food around here, and you can easily change up the ingredients to make it as spicy or as mild as you'd like.

Once we smoked a whole turkey, we haven't gone back. Check out our recipe to get the most flavorful turkey that not only is superior is taste, but is raised with the health of you, the turkey, and the environment in mind.
